Why CrossPointe?
"For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures."

For Paul the message of the cross is of first importance. The founding Elders of CrossPointe Church believe that the cross was the point of everything. The culmination of God's redemption mission took place at the cross. We knew that we wanted to plant a church that would point people to the cross so that they could experience the transformation of the gospel. John Stott, author and pastor, compares the cross to the blazing bonfire. If we want the flame in our hearts to be kept alive, we have to keep coming back to the source. "The cross is the blazing fire at which the flame of our love is kindled," he writes, "but we have to get near enough to it for its sparks to fall on us." We exist to point people to Christ so that they will be touch by the transforming love of Christ and their souls will be ignited with passion for Christ and his mission. As the Gospel radically orients us to Jesus and His mission of renewing the world, we will see the beauty, harmony and wholeness of God's Kingdom reign in our lives and in our communities.
Our Story
Shortly, before September 11, 2001, Chan and Stacy Kilgore packed up everything they owned and moved from South Florida to Orlando with just a God-given dream to plant a church that would point people to Jesus Christ. Together with Jay Bauman and Jim Sisco (founding Elders) and their families CrossPointe Church was birthed. We officially launched on March 31, 2002 at the Lake Nona YMCA.
Your Story

Chances are that the movie involved danger, adventure, love, people, and a hero that comes in to save the day. Why do stories like this capture our hearts and imaginations? The answer is simple. They are shadows of a true Epic that has been playing out since before the foundations of the earth. They've been trying to tell you about a true Epic ever since you were young. We know this because the story is written deep within our hearts. Ecclesiastes 3.11 tells us that "eternity is planted in our hearts." It is the story of stories that shapes our lives.
