FAQs
- How long do we have to raise the money?
We have 3 years to raise $500,000 dollars and then will need to raise another $500,000 within 3 years of moving in.
- How are we going to get it?
This is by far the biggest leap of faith we have ever taken as a church. However, we believe that God has sovereignly orchestrated this opportunity, and we believe that He will provide financially for us as we respond in faith-filled sacrificial giving.
- What is the time frame for the building?
Currently, the project time line is to break ground in early summer 2009 and have the building completed in the fall of 2010. As with any building project, time frames may vary slightly.
- What happens if we don’t raise all the money?
We will trust God for other opportunities.
- What are we getting with the building?
A value proposition that far exceeds anything we can do on our own. We will have a 850 seat auditorium that breaks down into 4 classrooms and 1 small theater, Prayer Chapel, plenty of children’s and youth space, spacious connections café and patio with staging kitchen, music practice & recording studio, CrossPointe Church Pastoral & Administrative Offices and conference room.
- Can we afford it once we are in it?
Yes, we are currently running cost projections for operations and maintenance of the facility.
- How much will we need to get through the 1st year in the building? What about our weekly budget?
The largest impact on expenses would be through our agreement to pay for the Training Center Facility operational expenses. Generally speaking, our facility expenses would increase at least 50-75%, but not to the degree that we could not budget for it.
- What is the relationship as far as costs with Vision360?
Vision 360 is taking on approximately 95% of the expenses associated with building the facility, as well as some ongoing expenses. Our agreement is to pay for ongoing operational expenses of the Training Center, as we are the primary user. Other organizations that would lease space in the facility would take part in the ongoing operational expenses as well.
- What kind of access will we have to the building during the week?
Since we are sharing it with Vision360 and Campus Crusade, we will have well planned out activities that are scheduled well in advance.
- How are we protected financially? What happens if our relationship with Vision360 changes?
In the unlikely event of dissolution of our partnership with Vision360, we would terminate our agreement and receive back our initial $1 million investment, less depreciation and like expenses.
- How will this change our church?
This will have significant changes in the presence that our church will have in our community, Central Florida, and around the world. However, it will not change the mission of our church. We will always seek to exist to point people to Jesus Christ.
- Are we only obligated to raise the $1 million?
Yes, for the short term. However, if God continues to bless us with growth we could have the opportunity to build our own church facility next to the training center.
- How can I give when I am in debt?
The message that we must be debt-free before we can give charitably has no Biblical basis. Most Americans have mortgages, car loans, etc., and so nearly everyone has taken on some level of debt. This should not stop us from investing in the Kingdom. But the level of debt is a measure of personal financial responsibility and should be considered in all financial decisions, like giving. At the heart, it is a personal decision. We will encourage everyone to prayerfully consider how God would lead them in taking a step of faith. It is often surprising to see how people can sacrifice in small ways that make a big difference in their giving.
- Who should be involved in the giving to Epic Faith?
Everyone. Our goal is 100% participation from the CrossPointe Church Body.
